Now You Can Go Invisible On Gmail Chat

One of the useful features in Yahoo and other messengers is that the ability to set your status as invisible. This feature is necessary when you want work with out any disturbances and also see who is online. Google Talk doesn’t have this feature, but luckily Gmail chat got this feature now.

This feature is a much needed one for Gtalk, Google is very slow in adding features to Gtalk so we may not expect this in the near future. Via Google Blogoscoped

  1. Yeah, this is nice for Gmail chat, but like you said, they really need this for Gtalk! Hopefully soon they will add it.

    Make sure you are using latest version of Gmail. Click on “set status here”, you will see invisible option

  12. The Option is still there, see the picture. Click the small arrow beside “set status here” in Gmail chat and you will see “Invisible” option.

  13. how do i set my status in gmail to invisible mode coz at presnt there is no option to set invisible status on my gmail settings?

  14. If you are not getting this option try different browser, I was not getting this option in Mozilla firefox 1.5, where as in Internet explorer I got this option.
