Microsoft has launched a tech preview of its new service called Live Mesh. Live Mesh is a kind of all in one solution to online storage, web OS and file syncing. Currently it only supports windows PCs but you can expect Mac and Mobile support by the end of the year. Using this app you can synchronize all your files across devices like PCs and Mobile phones.
Live Mesh comes as a desktop version as well as a web version. It lets you setup a remote desktop online and connect different computers to it. The files you add to the remote desktop will be synced to connected computers, so you will have the latest version of the file on all your device. Live Remote Desktop comes with 5GB of free online storage.
The files can be shared with your friends or colleagues. Folders also support comments. You can connect with other live mesh users and can share files with them.
Live Mesh not only syncs files but also can sync application data, it will be useful for developers building applications. It is currently in invitation only, if interested you can request an invite here. Dropbox is a good app if you are looking to sync files effectively.
