Microsoft’s next generation of Office suite codenamed Office 15 reached the technical preview stage in January end. Microsoft released the technical preview versions to its partners under non disclosure agreement. Tom Warren of The Verge managed to get leaked screenshots and published them on The Verge.
In the leaked screenshots of Office 15 you will notice the ribbon is minimized by default and using a full screen menu, it can brought back using a pin icon and can be minimized with the same.
Microsoft’s Outlook has some design change with a bit of Metro style UI and a navigation bar at the bottom to switch between Mail, Calendar People and Tasks. Contacts are now called people in the navigation bar.
Another interesting feature is “Present Online”, this allows users to share Office 15 documents online using Windows Live ID. Broadcast Slideshow feature in PowerPoint 2010 is renamed as Present Online and expanded to other Office applications in Office 15.
