Sony has launched a new Android smartphone named Xperia Sola, this phone comes with a new feature dubbed as Floating touch technology that allows users to navigate the web with out touching the screen.
Making its smartphone debut exclusively on Xperia sola, Sony’s unique floating touch lets consumers navigate the web by hovering their finger above the screen so it acts like a moving curser, without actually having to touch the screen. Once the desired link is found it can be highlighted and a simple tap will load the page.
Other than this unique feature the smartphone comes with 3.7 inch Reality Display and 854×480 pixel resolution. It has 8GB internal storage, NFC capabilities with Sony’s Smart Tags. It comes loaded with Android 2.3 Gingerbread and upgradable to Android 4.0 ICS in the second quarter, the same time this phone will be available widely.
Xperia Sola has a 1 GHz dual-core processor, 5 MP camera and Wi-Fi. This smartphone comes in three colors Black, White and Red and will be available in the second quarter of 2012.
