Looks like low cost Android tablet launch race in India will not end anytime soon. We have seen several low cost Android tablet launches, the original low cost tablet Aakash is delayed and tangled in legal mess. But there are now several Android tablets in India that cost less than Rs. 10,000.
Telmoco development labs launched a low cost tablet called Attitude Daksha prices at Rs.5,399 (~$100) targeted at schools and institutions. The tablet is running Android 4.0 ICS and features a 7-inch 5-point capacitive touch screen and WVGA display at 480×800 resolution.
Other specifications include 1.2GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor, 512MG RAm and a 400MHz GPU. It has an HDMI port, microSD slot, 3.5mm audio jack, 0.3megapixel front camera, an optional 2MP camera, and OTG connector for 3G Dongle, Wi-Fi. It supports 1080p full HD video streaming.
It has 4000mAh battery that supports 6 hours on Wi-Fi and 4 hours on 3G.
Attitude Daksha will be available in stores from May 15th onwards. We have seen several low cost tablet launches lately including tablets from BSNL, HCL tablets and Micromax Funbook.
