Nokia is hosting a press event in Delhi tomorrow, and the speculation is that it will announce the impending launch of two new smartphones in Lumia that are not yet available in India. Lumia 610 and Lumia 900 though launched elsewhere in the world, we are still waiting for these phones.
Nokia sent out invitations for the event, and it seems that Nokia is launching “The Dark Night Rises” limited edition Lumia 900 in the Indian market. The limited edition phone is not different in specifications than the original Lumia 900 though it carries a laser etched Batman logo on the back of the device. This is a promotional phone for the movie “The Dark Knight Rises” which is scheduled to release on July 20th.
Nokia is already selling Lumia 800 and 710 in the Indian market and the launch of Lumia 900 and 610 in India will bring the complete Lumia series to here.
Nokia Lumia launch tomorrow is not confirmed, it is only a speculation as of now. But if it launches, it is interesting to see how smartphone will sell in the Indian market as it is a low end device, with competitive pricing this phone might sell well in India. Nokia Lumia 900 is a high end phone with better specifications than other Lumia series phones.
Both the Lumia 900 and Lumia 610 will launch with Windows Phone 7.5 Tango updates, that means the phones will remain in Windows Phone 7 and will never be upgraded to Windows Phone 8 Apollo. Microsoft already confirmed this, Windows Phone 7 phones will get Windows Phone 7.8 Updates with UI resembling Windows Phone 8.
