If you are a Windows Phone fan and waiting for the Windows Phone 8 devices to hit the market, here is a good news for you. Samsung is planning to release two Windows Phone 8 devices in Q4 of this year.
Samsung has revealed details about two Windows Phone 8 phones as part of the documents related to Apple vs Samsung trail in US. The documents reveal Samsung “Odyssey” and “Marco” devices, Odyssey is touted as an “iconic smartphone” and is a high end phone while the other is a mid range Windows Phone.
Odyssey and Marco are powered by Qualcomm MSM8960 dual-core system-on-chip processor, this is the same chipset Microsoft is using to test Windows Phone 8 OS.
Odyssey leaked specifications include a 4.65 inch Super-AMOLED display with HD resolution and LTE capable with HSPA+21Mbps, it has an 8 megapixel camera at the rear and 2 megapixel camera at the front. It also supports NFC.
Marco has 4.0 inch Super AMOLED display with WVGA resolution and LTE capable with HSPA+21Mbps. It has a 5 megapixel camera at the rear and 2 megapixel camera at the front.
If the documents are upto date these phone should launch along with the Windows Phone 8 in Q4 of this year.
