Samsung will launch a Galaxy NX mirrorless camera at an event in London on June 20th. Samsung is expected to launch Galaxy and Ativ line of devices at this event. Samsung’s Mobile Vice President JK Shin confirmed the rumoured mirrorless camera launch at June 20th event. “Samsung will release out latest mirrorless camera that runs on Google’s Android software” he told reporters.”, according to Korea Times.
Galaxy NX is at the higher end of the spectrum with better specifications that the original Galaxy Camera. While Galaxy S4 Zoom is a hybrid between a camera and a smartphone, the Galaxy NX is a true camera with Android 4.2+ under the hood. Galaxy NX also features interchangeable lenses, hence it is referred as mirrorless. It will be sold as a package with a kit lens or as a body only camera.
Press photos of this camera are leaked before the expected launch, so what you are seeing is the real images of the camera and it will look the same when it launches according to reports. One image shows possible lens combinations of the camera including a 18-55 OIS, 18-200 OIS and another lens.
This device is suggested to be running on Android 42+ with 20.3-megapixel APS-C sensor and ISO sensitivity through 25,600, and can record 1080p videos. The back side of the device has a full body covering touch screen rumored to be of qHD resolution.
