Apple patches the bugs exploited to jailbreak iOS devices sooner than later, but this time Apple may be a bit slow in patching Evasi0n jailbreak. Two minor versions of iOS are released since the Evasi0n launch to close several bugs but the exploits used by Evasi0n remained there. But it won’t be for more than a month before that is fixed.
According to Forbes iOS 6.1.3 beta released for developers patched one of the exploits used to create Evasi0n jailbreak. One of the developers of the tool, David Wang tested the new version of the iOS and it closed one of the five bugs the jailbreak exploits, a flaw in the operating system’s time zone settings. If one of the vulnerability doesn’t work, the jailbreak won’t work according to him.
But this is not the end of the game for Evasi0n, as he points out they can use other vulnerability, unless Apple fixes all the bugs they used when 6.1.3 final will come out. The iOS 6.1.3 may come out in a month’s time.
Evasi0n jailbreak tool became the popular jailbreak when it was released, close to 7 million devices were jail breaked using the tool. iPhone 5 users took their chance to break walls of the Apple garden. Evasi0n is active from three weeks, that is a long time according to the report, Apple took nine days to release a fix for Jailbreakme 3.0.
