Apple has unveiled iPad Air, a thinner and lighter iPad than the outgoing model. Apple named it iPad Air instead of the rumored iPad 5. The fifth generation of its flagship tablet with 9.7-inch display received a major redesign since the release of iPad 2, it is now 20% thinner and 28% lighter than the fourth generation iPad model.
iPad Air will comes with the A7 chip with 64-bit architecture, the A7 chip first debuted with the iPhone 5S. The new iPad will also perform better that the previous iPad, Apple is promising a 2X performance improvement and 2X graphics performance. The new A7 is also power efficient allowing a smaller battery housed along with same 10-hour battery life. It comes with the iOS 7 operating system.
iPad Air and the iPad Mini debuted Tuesday come with next generation of HD FaceTime Camera with improved backside illumination sensors for better low light performance. It will retail the signature Retina Display in a 9.7-inch form factor. It supports Wi-Fi and expanded LTE connectivity.

Apple is also selling iPad 2 along with the latest iPad for a lower price. iPad 2 Wi-Fi 16GB model is available for $399, and 16GB Wi-Fi + 3G model is available for $529 with either Verizon or AT&T.
