PDF is the popular format used to send documents to others. For example resumes are typically converted to PDF from Word before sending. But what if you want convert a PDF document you received by mail to Word format or RTF for some reason.
There are several free tools and web based tools for converting PDF to Word documents, but not all of those tools get the right conversion without losing much of the format the file has.
First PDF is a freeware utility that allows you to convert PDF files to Word documents. It can also convert PDF to Images or just plain text. This is a no-frills tools, does what it says just conversion and with a click of the button.
After installing the application, fire up and select conversion to Word or Image using the tabs on the application, “PDF to Word” or “PDF to Images”. You need to select a PDF file that you want to convert to other format, you can input multiple files also if you need to convert a batch. Click the Go button and your files will be converted and saved on the same folder. The beauty of the tool is it is simple to use and retains the format of the PDF file when converting to Word document.
You can also convert the PDF files to Image format. The supported image formats include PNG, JPG, GIF, BMP, Tiff, and Multi-P Tiff.
First PDF is a freeware and works with most Windows versions from Windows 2000 to Windows 7.
