Microsoft has updated Windows Live Essentials suite of applications, the updated versions are available to download from the Windows Live Essentials Website. Microsoft says that this release contains critical fixes for the Live Essentials package. The new version of these applications are available for users of Windows Vista SP2, Windows 7 and Windows 2008 R2.
The update is available for Windows Live Essentials in all 48 languages it supports. “This minor release includes numerous updates across all of the programs in the Essential package, including Windows Live Messenger, Mail, Photo Gallery, Movie Maker, Family Safety, Writer, and Mesh.”
In the next few weeks Vista SP2 and Windows 7 users will receive notifications to update the programs to the new version. You can download the update now from the Windows Live Essentials site.
If you are moving from Live Essentials 2009 to 2011 you will see whole lot of new features including social features in Windows Messenger, the ability to chat with Facebook friends etc., and more.
