Instagram has finally enabled photo and video embedding on the web, according to Instagram this is the most requested feature after the release of Instagram Video. The move will allow users to embed Instagram photos and videos wherever html is supported. The embed code is provided in iframe, so it should work at many places except a few where iframes are not allowed.
If you visit any Instagram photo or video on the web you will see a share button, just under the comments button. Clicking the button will pull up the embed code for you, you can paste that code to show that Instagram photo or video.
The embed code works only for the public photos, if your photos or videos are private you don’t have to worry as they are not enabled for embedding. Also when users embed the photos or videos they will always link back to the original Instagram user page, that way visitors can go back to the original photo or video on Instagram Web.
For now, the feature only available using the web version of the service, your phone won’t support this feature as of now.
