Today we’re announcing a new version of Facebook designed to reduce clutter and focus more on stories from the people you care about. You see all the stories you saw in your News Feed before, but with a fresh new look. We’ve completely rebuilt each story to be much more vibrant and colorful and highlight the content that your friends are sharing. Photos, news articles, maps and events all look brighter and more beautiful.
The new design is aimed at reducing clutter in the news feed and enabling users to focus on stories and photos and other content. The new design brings several new feeds apart from the existing news feed to explore, these include:

Photos – a feed with nothing but photos from your friends and the Pages you like
Music – a feed with posts about the music you listen to
Following – a feed with the latest news from the Pages you like and the people you follow.
You can always switch between these feeds using a switcher at the top of the page. The content you see on your news fee will also look vibrant with bigger photos. Now the news stories will carry a bigger photos (552 pixels wide) and bolder headlines. Uploaded videos will take up full width now.
Shared content will include context about the people and pages who shared it, you will see people thumbnails along with the story and clicking on them will reveal what they said about the story while sharing.
Other updates from friends like new connections will also get prominent place along with the cover photo of the page or friend. So make sure you cover page stands out because it will now be visible to a larger audience.
Another important aspect of this new design of news feed is that Facebook experience will be same across devices, the left prominent menu is available everywhere, similarly you can always jump to the top of the feed if you find new stories coming in.
