Windows 8 is probably the hottest and most talked about the operating system at the moment and with the release of the Surface tab, more and more people want to get an experience of the highly anticipated Windows 8 operating system. With the official release of Windows 8, there is now a launcher available for Android based on the latest OS from Microsoft. Previously, the Windows 7 Launcher received a lot of popularity on Android and a lot of users were using it as their default Launcher. LauncherWP8 is a new launcher which looks a lot like the new Windows 8 OS from Microsoft.
The Launcher was released several days back but it did not support the English Language. With the latest update, the launcher is fully translated and some excellent features while having a sleek Windows 8 look.
Firstly, the launcher is fully customizable and there are various settings. You should make sure that you go through all the settings in order to get your desired look. The launcher features a different lock screen for Android devices based on the Windows 8 Phone lock. It also features an app drawer similar to the one on WP8. You will also get the Windows 8 Start Screen after installing the launcher.
LauncherWP8 is somewhat similar to the previous Windows 7 Launcher, however, you will now get resizable Windows tiles. Also, most icons and most of the theming is similar to the Windows 8 OS. You also get the option for loading up your custom icons, changing font sizes and font colors.
Probably, one of the best features about the launcher is that it supports a fully functional backup and restore option. Therefore, you can backup your theme and custom settings for the launcher while trying new stuff out.
The LauncherWP8 is available free here and should work on all Android devices. If you face any problems with the launcher, make sure that you clear the data of LauncherWP8 from Settings — Apps.

Well, these are the only 2 fully functional Windows 8 Launchers for Android. You can always try my post of Fake Windows 8, which is a good alternative. More wp8 launchers will be releasing soon. Stay tuned to try them out on GB.
