According to Statcounter Firefox 3 is now the top browser in Europe. This is a significant milestone for Firefox and good news for Firefox fans who have promoted the browser in every possible way.
For the first time Firefox topped the browser usage in Europe, till February IE7 topped the list. Firefox had 35.05% of the European web browser market while IE 7 has 34.54 percent. In February IE7 has a share of 41% and Firefox 24%, while Firefox is gaining the market share the decline IE share is partly attributed to a switch to the latest version of IE that is IE 8.
The combined share of all IE versions is still 10% higher than Firefox. [Via Reuters]
