Google search app for Windows Phone 7.5 mango is updated with a redesign and new features. The app is available from the Windows market place for users who are interested in downloading the app.
According to Google Mobile blog the revamped search app came with some new features, Autocomplete, Voice search and My location for instance. You might already know what these features do.
Google Autocomplete will give search predictions while you type a search query to make the search entry easier and faster.
With Voice Search users can speak their search queries instead of typing, to do that click the microphone icon and start speaking. If it works intended well and good, but in my case it misses lot of times, it has to do with the accent of course.
My Location feature uses your GPS to search for local services and to suggest you nearest coffee shop or nearest ATM.
The search app speaks different languages, available worldwide in English, Spanish, French, Italian, and German. Well if you are not happy with Microsoft’s Bing, You can download the application from the Windows Marketplace. The app has a 2 star rating on Windows Marketplace and with people calling out it as crap.
