HTC launched Butterfly S, the successor of HTC Butterfly last month, it is not available worldwide. Butterfly S now appeared on HTC India website with new status, this could mean that HTC is all set to launch this phablet in India soon. It features a 5-inch Super LCD 3 display at full HD (1920 x 1080p) resolution with 440ppi. The display also comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for scratch protection.
Butterfly S runs on the 1.9GHz Quad Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor with Adreno 320 GPU. It runs on the Android 4.2.2 operating system with HTC Sense 5.0, along with the HTC Blink Feed. It comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage along with micro SD support for memory expansion upto 34GB. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, Wi-Fi, DLNA, micro USB, GPS/GLONASS, infrared remote control.
On the camera front it comes with the HTC UltraPixel camera with BSI Sensor, pixel size 2.0 µm, sensor size 1/3-inch, f2.0, and 28,, lens. It also comes with a 2.1MP front camera with HDR video. The camera is capable of 1080p full HD video recording with HDR video.
It packs a 3200mAh battery under the hoof to power up the device. Other features include HTC Blink Feed, HTC Boom Sound, Beats Audio, Gyro sensor, Accelerometer, Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor.
HTC recently launched this smartphone in Taiwan and priced it at around Rs. 45000, if we go by this pricing it will cost somewhere around Rs. 50,000, that is ridiculous considering the features and the market.
