HTC has released HTC One (M8) hours before, and is available immediately for buying. But if you don’t like the locked smartphones and all that Sense magic on top of Android here is a good news. Like the first HTC One, this new HTC One is also available as developer edition and Google Play edition.
HTC will sell the developer edition for $649 and as you might expect the phone will be SIM unlocked and will allow users to flash their own custom ROMs if they wish so. There is also a Google Play edition of he HTC M8 that comes with the Android 4.4.2 KitKat with out the HTC Sense, if you prefer vanilla Android experience this is your best bet. This Google Play edition will also include some of the HTC functionality for functions like Duo camera to work. Google will sell this phone for a little extra, you have to shell out $699 for the HTC One (M8) Google Play edition.
HTC One M8 features a 5-inch 1080p super LCD3 screen with Coring Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 801 processor along with 2GB of RAM and either 16GB/ 32GB of internal storage. It comes with 4MP Ultrapixel camera, Boomsound, Blinkfeed and others. It includes 2600mAh battery under the hood for providing juice.
