iFood.tv is a social network for food lovers to share and discuss recipes, meet new buddies. Users can upload text recipes, photos and videos.
Registered users will get a profile page with guest book, blog and links to favorite recipes, videos. You can invite your buddies to the site from all the popular mail services including Gmail, Yahoo Mail, MSN etc. You can meet other members of the community, make food buddies and watch the videos they are watching.
iFood.tv co-founder Sharib Khan informed me that they have 650 video recipes and 1200 non video recipes. The site is live from past 7 months and has around and currently receiving 10-11 million hits a month.
One can upload text recipes, photos, and videos or embed videos from video sharing sites like YouTube. The maximum upload limit for a video is 40MB. Recipes are organized in channels like American video recipes, Indian video recipes. Food videos can be embedded in your blog or website, they also launched widgets to embed on your blogs which show most recent videos at iFood.tv
The user interface of the site is simple, clean with all the functionality of a web2.0 site although it is missing web2.0 colors. Ajax is used wherever it is necessary, site supports tags, comments, bookmarking etc.
