Intex Technologies has launched yet another smartphone in India under its Aqua line of Android smartphones. The Intex Aqua I-5 launched today is a phablet with 5-inch qHD display with 1.2GHz Quad Core MediaTek MT6589 processor and 1GB of RAM.
It packs a 12 megapixel rear camera with autofocus, BSI sensor and LED flash. The camera is indeed powerful in its class, other phones at this range are mostly 8MP ones, and if this camera is really powerful it will give tough competition to the quad core phones that are below Rs. 15,000. It is prices at Rs. 11,690 officially makes it one of the most affordable quad core phones. It will give touch competition to the likes of Micromax A116, Micromax A111, Zen Ultrafone 701 HD and Karbonn Titanium S5.
It comes with 4GB of internal storage expandable upto 32GB. It runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and packs a 2000mAh battery under the hood. The battery gives 5 hours of talk time and 7 hours of standby according to Intex.
Till now Intex has launched 12 smartphones in the Aqua lineup and the company plans to launch 20 smartphones in the next quarter. Intex wants to sell 2 million smartphones in this fiscal with the launch of new Aqua lineup devices. It partnered with Farhan Akhtar to promote the phones.
