Intex has launched a new Android smartphone in India for Rs. 9,990. The new Intex Aqua Wonder Quadcore is a powerful smartphone at an affordable price, it is priced at Rs. 9,990, making it one of the smartphones you can consider when looking for Android phones below Rs. 10,000.
Intex Aqua Wonder Quadcore is the first Quad-Core processor phone from Intex. It will compete with the popular Micromax Canvas HD Smartphone which is plagued by supply issues. It is powered by a 1.2GHz Quad-Core MediaTek MT6589 processor with 512MB of RAM. Internal memory is pegged at 4GB out of which 1.93GB is available to the user. It comes with a 4.5-inch qHD IPS screen with 540 x 960 pixels resolution.
Other specifications of the phone include an 8MP rear camera with dual LED and autofocus, a 2MP front camera, 1800mAh battery, micro SD slot for expanding the memory upto 32GB. Connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, micro USB, A-GPS.
Intex Aqua Wonder Quadcore runs on the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box. Although it has Quad-Core processor under the hood, Intex included 512MB RAM in the phone, which is a major drawback and you will notice this while using the phone. Another drawback in this phone is the battery, at 1800mAh it may not be enough to keep the phone running for some time, with Quad-Cores running the phone might run out of juice pretty quickly.
