Intex Technologies has launched an entry level smartphone in India, dubbed as Cloud X3 it is a basic Android phone with a price tag of Rs. 3,790. It is running on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system.
Intex Cloud X3 features a 3.5-inch display with 320 x 480 pixels resolution. It is a dual SIM phone and supports dual standby. It is powered by a 1GHz dual core MediaTek MT6572. This chip is recently introduced by MediaTek it is based on Cortex-A7 architecture and aimed at low cost phones. It comes with several radios including 2G, 3G, HSPA+, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS. It comes with 256MB RAM and sports a 2MP rear camera and a VGA front camera. It has 115MB of internal storage that can expanded upto 32GB with a micro SD card.
It packs a 1450mAh battery under the hood to power up the device. According to Intex it gives 6 hours of talk time and 200 hours of standby time. The Intex Cloud X3 is available in two colors, White and Black.
We don’t know how the performance of this phone with Android Jelly Bean on board. Because when ICS launched the minimum requirements are 1GHz processor and 512MB RAM. Jelly Bean although not increased the system requirements it added Triple Buffering and VSync to reduce the requirements. But we are not sure how it performs on a phone with just 256MB RAM.
