LG showcased a tablet name G Pad, the new tablet with 8.3-inch display will debut at the IFA Berlin 2013 show this week. LG G Pad builds on the recently unveiled LG G2 smartphone, with 8.36-inch screen it is a big tablet. LG boasts the slim and sleek factor of the LG G Pad even though it has a large display.
LG G Pad features a 8.3 inch WUXGA display with 1920 x 1200 pixels resolution, LG boasts the fact that this is the first Full HD display in 8-inch tablet class. It is powered by a 1.7GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 Processor along with 2GB of RAM.
“Complementing our G Series smartphones, the introduction of the LG G Pad 8.3 further strengthens LG’s premium lineup consisting of our most cutting-edge devices,” said Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of the LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. “Our G Pad is just another example of LG delivering devices with the unique selling points consumers around the world will appreciate.”
LG G Pad comes with apps from LG like QPair, QMemo etc. QPair allows users to connect their smartphones with the tablet, every call and message received on users smartphone will appear on G Pad and users can send simple replies from G Pad. QPair also works with other Android phones with Jelly Bean as the recommended OS. QMemo allows users to create notes on the tablet, these notes can also be shared with users smartphone seamlessly.
Slide Aside allows users to simply slide apps to the screen edge by using a three finger swipe. Q Slide allows users to manage upto three apps in one window to take advantage of the large screen. KnockON will turn the display on and off with a double tap, familiar if you have seen Nokia Asha 501.
LG has packed a 4600mAh battery under the hood to power the device, but the gigantic screen with full HD display will take most of the juice we think.
