Lifeblob is a life streaming app that allows you to post (import) pictures, blog posts, videos and text messages. The posted messages or photos are arranged in a timeline so you or your friends can see your lifestream.
The UI looks great with zoomable timeline from 1 day to 100 years that covers everyone’s lifestream. Lifeblob is not only about you, it has social angle you can invite your friends to see your timeline. If you are lazy like me you can just import stuff from your blog, Flickr or Picasa to your timeline so that you don’t update yet another aggregator. Posting videos is not yet active but i guess it will go live soon and probably allows you add videos with Youtube URL.
If you wish you can also share your timeline by embedding on your blogs or social networks. Overall the app is good and works well without any quirks. This is an app worth to check for all the social media junkies. Thanks Ashish for the invite.
Lifeblob is currently in Alpha and requires an invite code to register, i don’t have any invites right now, i will update this post if i get some.

Won’t most people be too busy creating their own lifelines to go scan yours?

Thanks for covering us on your blog.
Our belief is that there would be both kinds of people, those who would love to spend time browsing their timelines and the timelines of their close friends/family and those who would love to browse timelines of others.
To add to that, Lifeblob automatically generates timelines for Places and Tags if you add tags/place to your post. Since these timelines are based on a particular region or particular interests, they are very interesting sources for discovering other people with similar interests or to find out what other people around you are doing.

@Gadgets
Hmm if that is the case all these Life streaming sites and microblogging sites won’t get any traction. Look at twitter, or even friendfeed, it is growing like a weed.
@Pranav
Thanks for the info

Are there still invites available? This application looks like something I’ve been looking for for a very long time, especially the possibility to import text messages.
Does it sync with mobile phones as well?

Starstuff, the service is now open for signups and you can create an account at http://www.lifeblob.com . Would love to hear from you after you check it out.
