Micromax, Aircel and MediaTek joined hands to give value added benefits to Micromax device users. Under the partnership Micromax device users will get data benefits for first three months and then double data value on recharges. As more users are consuming data for browsing and accessing social networks on mobile devices we will see more of these kind of partnerships. Except powering the Micromax devices MediaTek won’t affect consumes much in this deal, though the company says that MediaTek will deliver a seamless and powerful user experience on these devices.
Initially the offer is available on Micromax devices MMX 377G (Dongle), Micromax Funbook Mini 410i, A090, and X070, all these device are also launched today but not much is known about these devices as of now. All these devices will be available from next month onwards. As part of the deal Aircel users using Micromax devices will receive 2GB per month data for 3 months and then for the next three months their recharges will give double data benefits.
Vikas Jain, Co-founder, Micromax, said the idea was to democratise technologies for the masses. “Our focus is now to provide seamless solutions to the consumers using their smart devices, thereby concentrating a large chunk of our efforts on coming up with products and services which act as solutions to the needs of the fast-evolving consumers. This partnership exemplifies the same endeavor,” he added.
Anupam Vasudev, Chief Marketing Officer, Aircel, said his company is bullish on device tie ups as the number of telecom subscribers in India accessing the internet through mobile devices will reach 350 million by 2015. “This clearly indicates that mobile devices and data connectivity is undoubtedly the future of mobile telephony.” Aircel has launched bundled offers with Micromax devices which will give customers exciting benefits worth more than Rs 10,000.
