Micromax is launching another budget Android smartphone soon, the phone is called Canvas Juice A77. The Juice in the name might be referring to the fact it get a bigger battery under the hood for providing juice to the smartphone. It packs a 3000mAh battery under the hood, which is quite surprising given the handsets other specifications and its pricing.
This is clearly a budget handset but looks like Micromax is targeting users who care about the battery life more than other not so useful features. The Canvas Juice phone features a 5-inch display at FWVGA resolution (480 x 854), that puts it at 196ppi pixel density, which is not that great but this is a budget handset, so no complaints there.
It is powered by a 1.3GHz dual core processor along with 1GB of RAM and 4GB of ROM. The smartphone runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box. It is a dual-SIM handset with Dual Standby. It packs a 300mAh battery under the hood.
On the imaging front it comes with a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and autofocus support. It also has a VGA front camera for video calls and selfies. The phone has 150.5 x 76.2 x 10.2mm dimensions and weighs just 100.5grams which is great for a phone with large battery.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, EDGE, 3G, A-GPS and micro USB. It is listed online with a price tag of Rs. 7,999 with coming soon status, expect the phone to reach the stores this week.
