Microsoft’ popular productivity suite Microsoft Office is expected soon on the iOS platform as an iPad according to a report published on The Daily. Microsoft development for iOS team has winded up the project meaning that it is waiting to be submitted to the Apple appstore and will be available in the coming weeks.
The Daily also publishes a photo showing Office application icons. In the pic it is clear that iPad version of the app will have Word, Excel, and Powerpoint, but not sure of the other applications. There are also icons for settings, messenger and a search bar.
The app’s user interface is similar to OneNote app on the iPad it seems and it has hints of Metro style design, the upcoming UI for Microsoft Windows 8. An updated version of OneNote app is also expected o be released on the iPad soon to reflect the Metro style changes. Microsoft Office for Android is not in the works according to the report.
