Motorola announced Moto G smartphone today at Sao Paulo, Brazil. Moto G is billed as an affordable solution so the excitement is quite high for the phone. We are also curious about its launch as Motorola shut shop here last year. But Motorola hinted the imminent India launch on its Facebook page few days back.
Today during the unveiling Motorola CEO, Dennis Woodside said that Moto G will launch in India in the early January 2014. It is a bit of disappointment for many Moto fans in India as we thought it will be here by the end of this month or early next month. But the good thing about this phone it is priced quite affordably in US starting at $179 for 8GB Model and $199 for 16GB model. If you look at the pricing in India it should come for around Rs. 15000 which is quite a decent price if you look at the specifications of the phone.
Moto G will come as Dual SIM variant in India and Brazil.

Moto G comes with swappable back shells, these back shells will be available in different colors. The Grip shells comes in five colors which can be added to protect the edges. Moto G will also have flip covers in seven colors, all these customization options might help Moto G sales.
It will run on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out of the box with out any skins on top of Android, that means pure Android at an affordable price. It will be updated to Android 4.4 KitKat in the early 2014.
