Nokia teased yesterday with “something big is landing here tomorrow” post on its Facebook page and on its blog. Today Nokia announced the Lumia 625 smartphone as expected. It is the latest Lumia from Nokia which launched Lumia 925, Lumia 928 and quite recently Lumia 1020 this year. It remains some of the characteristics of Lumia 620, the screen size and the processor is bumped in this.
Lumia 625 is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor with 512MB RAM. It features a 4.7-inch Curved display with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection. The screen resolution is WVGA at 800 x 480, with 201ppi, which is not great, in comparison the Lumia 620 has 246ppi. It comes with Super sensitive touch technology among other things.
It runs on the Windows Phone 8 operating system and according to Nokia it will come with the Amber update that includes some new features to the platform. It will come with 8GB of internal storage with a micro SD slot for memory expansion upto 64GB. You will also get 7GB of cloud storage from SkyDrive.
On the imaging front it comes with a 5MP camera at the rear and a VGA front camera. You will also get Nokia Camera apps like Cinemagraph, Smart Camera, panorama etc. The main camera supports 1080p videos. There is no mention of Carl-Zeiss lens like the 620.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, micro USB, LTE, GPS, NFC etc. It packs a 2000mAh battery under the hood.

It will be available in orange, yellow, bright green, white and black. The back shells are exchangeable like the Lumia 620.
