The Nokia lumia 900 landed officially on Sunday in US, some early owners of the phone are experiencing some data connectivity issues on the phone. Users are complaining at Nokia forums and WPCentral forums about the data connection issue, a bug in the newly launched Lumia 900 causing lost of data connectivity though voice and text are unaffected.
A user on Nokia forums has posted a work around for the issue, but it seems it is not working for all, and even if it work it might return with the same issues. The work around is, remove SIM, perform a reset, boot up the device without a SIM, turn off the device, insert the SIM again.
Electronista reports that the bug may be related to IMEI numbers not registering properly with the AT&Ts data network, it is not confirmed by At&T though. But AT&T is aware of the bug and taking defective devices away from shelves.
The bug seems to be not affecting all the Lumia 900 owners but a handful of early adaptors. The issue is not limited to LTE connectivity, even HSPA+ connections also had issue according to user reports. Lumia 900 launch is so important for Microsoft and Nokia, I am sure they will issue a fix for the problem soon.
