Nokia X is one of the Nokia Android devices Nokia announced at the MWC 2014. Nokia X is expected to be unveiled in India in the next week or so, while we are all waiting for the Nokia Android phone online retailers are already listing this phone. Earlier The Mobile Store has listed the phone for Rs 8500 and now other retailers are also joining the party. According to these listings the Nokia X Android smartphone is expected to be available in India from march 15th, that is the date we guess you can buy the phone at retail stores.
Nokia X features a 4-inch capacitive touch screen with 800 x 480 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor. Nokia has forked Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean version and gave it name Nokia X smartphone platform, it runs on platform 1.0. Nokia has created its own Android app store for users to get Android applications.
Nokia X is a Dual-SIM smartphone with 10.44mm in thickness and weighs 128.6gms. The design of the phone reminds of the Nokia Lumia series. Nokia X smartphone platform is supposed to give Nokia a low-end software platform to replace Asha series of smartphones. Nokia X packs a 3MP rear camera, there is no front camera though, other specifications include 4GB of internal memory, micro SD card slot for memory expansion, a 1500mAh battery is under the hood for providing juice. Connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, aGPS among other things.
