The Verge has tasked its sources for info on these devices and came up with some interesting information. According to them the Goldfinger and Moneypenny are just codenames for future devices at this point, and the Goldfinger is a flagship model out of those two. Goldfinger will include a 3D touch technology which Nokia has been developing for quite sometime now. The technology works like gesture controls, allowing users to do certain tasks with out touching the screen.
The Verge says that Glance screen software update on some Nokia devices is the same tech we are talking here, but in Windows Phone 8.1 Nokia might be taking it forward with some new features. Samsung has these kind of features in Galaxy S4, but those are not perfect, they are like hit and miss. Hopefully Nokia’s 3D touch tech will be mature than the Samsung’s and in any case we will see in the next year’s trade shows like CES and MWC.
