Opera released Opera 18 for Android, the latest version brings a new UI for Android tablets. Opera says tablets are different from the smartphones not only in size but in other areas as well, so they have paid attention in the development process to give a new UI to the Android tablets.
To come up with the Opera for Android tablet version, engineers at Opera Software followed the design philosophy of not just scaling up the smartphone interface, nor just shrinking a desktop browser down, but instead tailoring all aspects of the user experience to the tablet form factor. “We poured a great deal of thought into the Opera for Android tablet version,” says Johan Schön, SVP for Mobile Consumer Browsers, Opera Software.
Opera says every detail of the user interface is meticulously planned, with several iterations before it is implemented. Access to the most used functions like back, forward and menu page is located at the convenient place.
The Discover feature is the place to find great content including news, sports and what not according to your interests, you can customize it to your needs. The Off-Road mode allows you to browse more efficiently with out consuming large data when on slower connections, pubic networks etc. Speed Dial, an Opera innovation, makes the perfect companion for any tablet. Large, square buttons allow you easily to add, organize and access your most frequently visited webpages.
