Philips Fidelio Docking Speakers – The Universal Docking Speakers Specially Designed for Android

Usually most Android users, including myself, hate Apple products. However, you often see all these new and cool accessories coming out for iPhones and iPods. Docks and Docking speakers are quite popular among iPhone/iPod accessories and they basically charge the device and have speakers for a decent Audio Playback.  Docks for Androids are rare and you can find charging docks for specific Android Phones which are not that good. For those of you who don’t know, Philips has been making some pretty impressive Docking speakers for iPhones/iPods and the company also started making universal Android Docking Speakers.

The Philips Fidelio Docking Speakers are the first docking speakers for Android smartphones and tablets and they are quite impressive. Firstly, the dock offers a micro USB in order to connect the phone and features a unique flexidock  in order to adjust the micro USB port for ALL Android devices. Whether the USB port on your phone is on the side, on the top or on the bottom, the flexidock will easily connect your phone. Secondly, the speakers offer wireless Audio Playback using Bluetooth and pairing the device to the Dock takes less than a minute.

There are 4 different docking speaker models by Philips. The loudest and the most powerful is the AS851.  It features 30 watts of output power  along with pure digital sound processing.

The second model is the AS140 which is not as loud as the AS851 but can still produce enough loudness for an entire house. It also features an FM Radio player along with a Digital Alarm Clock.

The third model is the AS351 and it is the little brother of the AS851. It is extremely portable and also supports AAA batteries rather than a direct power supply. The small package can also produce incredible sound while charging your Android device.

Lastly, there is the lighter AS111 which is the cheapest of them all. It is good for charging the device and features a bedside Digital clock with a Soft Glow Night Light. The Speakers are not that loud but are enough to fill the room.

These docking speakers are available on Ebay India, U.S, U.K and Canada. You can also get these Docking Speakers from a Philips Retail Outlet. You can see the docking speakers in action here.

Philips also released its Fidelio app on the Google Play Store for automatically connecting to the dock.  The app features a Song Bird music player and over 5000 online radio stations.
