LG official said in May that there is no Nexus 5 back in May, shortly later LG corrected the statement. Now a Korean tech site Daum is reporting that Nexus 5 is shares the hardware with the upcoming LG G2 and is said to arrive in early October with Android 5.0 on board. This could be just a rumor passed on as reliable report, take the report with a pinch of salt.
But the timing seems to correlate with the earlier info that Android 5.0 will come in October, if it is coming with Android 5.0 then it makes sense and moreover LG has developed Optimus G and Nexus 4 parallel and this time also LG may be doing the same for Nexus 5 with LG G2. LG G2 is the next version of the LG Optimus G.
The report also includes specifications of the LG G2, it features the Snapdragon 800 processor with 2GB or 3GB of RAM (the site says it is not final). It packs a 5-inch full HD display, 13MP camera with OIS and a 2700mAh of battery under the hood. It will also have support for LTE-A according to the report. It is expected to come on August 7 and perhaps we will have more details of Nexus 5 as well.
