Samsung has announced Galaxy Note II, successor to its Galaxy Not at IFA 2012. Samsung announced Galaxy Note at IFA 2011 and fast forward 2012 there is this Galaxy Note II with new software features.
Galaxy Note II is slimmer and lighter than its predecessor, it now comes with a redesigned S Pen stylus among other things. It boasts a 5.5 inch display at 1280 x800 pixels 16:9 screen resolution. It gets a better processor than its predecessor, Galaxy Note comes with 1.4GHz dual-core processor, the new Galaxy Note comes with 1.6GHz Quad-Core Exynos processor. On the software front it comes with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out of the box.
The Galaxy Note II screen has been increased from 5” in Note to 5.5 inches in this one. It uses the HD Super AMOLED display screen. The new S Pen is redesigned to be longer, thicker and ergonomically designed for perfect grip according to Samsung.
Other specifications of the device include 8 megapixel rear camera, a 1.9 megapixel front camera with HD video recording. It also carries some of the software features introduced in Galaxy S III like buddy Photo Share, Burst Shot and Best Photo. It also comes with a new camera feature called best face that “allows users to choose the most preferred face or pose of each person from group portrait photos.”, according to Samsung.
Samsung Galaxy Note II will be made available in Marble White or Titanium Gray, and will launch in Europe, Asia and Middle East starting from October this year. . There is no word on US launch though.
