Samsung has unveiled it’s budget Android smartphone Galaxy SIII Mini. It bears the name of the Samsung’s flagship device, but the specs suggest otherwise, it is not even close to the Galaxy SIII specs. Specs of the Galaxy S III Mini device leaked one day ahead of the launch.
If you think that the Samsung Galaxy S III is a big bit for your liking, you might consider the Galaxy S III Mini, but specs wise it is not close to the S III. It comes with a 4 inch Super AMOLED display at 800 x 480 pixel resolution, that puts it at 233PPI resolution, down from the 306PPI seen on S3. Mini is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor, the original S3 has 1.4GHz quad-core processor. Other specifications include 1GB RAM, 8/ 16GB of internal memory with microSD slot to expand the memory upto 32GB. Galaxy SIII Mini will come with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on board, the original Galaxy S3 comes with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and soon might be updated to Jelly Bean.
The connectivity options on the Galaxy SIII Mini include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, GPS/ GLONASS, 3G. There is no 4G LTE connectivity on this device. Battery is put at 1500mAh, Galaxy S3 has 2100mAh battery. A 5 megapixel is placed at the rear and a VGA camera at the front for video calling.
