Samsung has launched the Galaxy S Duos 2 budget Android handset in India yesterday. The Galaxy S Duos 2 is priced at Rs. 10,990. The unique factor of this phone is that it comes with 10 Indian languages support, according to Samsung some apps and content are available in these 10 local languages.
Especially created for the Indian market, the GALAXY S DUOS 2’s regional language support enables consumers to access apps from the Samsung Application Store in Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Assamese, Marathi and Gujarati. Customers can experience popular apps such as ChatOn, Facebook, Gmail and Newshunt in their own language right away.
Galaxy S Duos 2 features a 4-inch TFT display at WVGA (480 x 800 pixels) resolution. It is powered by a 1.2GHz Dual-core processor along with 768MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. It also has support for micro SD card for memory expansion upto 64GB. It is a dual-SIM phone like the previous avatar and comes with Always on support, that means you can receive calls while you are talking on another SIM.
It has a 5-megapixel main camera with LED flash and a front camera with VGA resolution. It runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system. Connectivity options include 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and micro USB. It packs a 1500mAh battery under the hood for providing juice. The list of sensors this phone comes with include Accelerometer, Geo-magnetic, Proximity Sensor.
Galaxy S Duos 2 is already available in India from last week onwards, Samsung India eStore is selling this at Rs 10,999, and Flipkart is selling it for Rs. 10790. It will be available from other online stores and across brick and mortar stores.
