Swipe Telecom has launched a mid-range dual-SIM Android smartphone in the Indian market called Swipe 9X. Swipe has launched several phablets in the recent times under Fablet brand and others. Swipe 9X is priced at Rs. 8,999, at this price point it is going to compete with several Android smarphone offerings from Karbonn, Intex, Micromax and others.
Swipe 9X is powered by a 1GHz dual-core MediaTek processor, and 512MB RAM. It is a dual-SIM Android phone and it runs on Ice Cream Sandwich. We hope that it would come with Jelly Bean out of the box instead of the aging Android 4.0 ICS. It comes with a 4.7inch FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels resolution) capacitive mutitouch screen. It has 4GB of internal memory with a micro SD slot for expanding the memory upto 32GB.
Swipe 9X has dual cameras, there is an 8MP camera at the rear and a 2MP camera at the front. Connectivity options include 2G, 3G, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and micro USB. It comes with a 2000mAh battery to power up the device.
