Windows 8.1 update is the next update to the Windows 8 operating system, Microsoft is expected to release the same in April. Microsoft has recently finalized the update and sent it to manufacturers. The Windows 8.1 update that is expected next month already leaked online, while leaks are not uncommon in the Windows world, what us surprising is that the leak came directly from Microsoft this time.
The leak seems to be discovered from the Windows update service. A set of six updates that are part of the Windows 8.1 update were discovered, these can be downloaded from the Microsoft servers and some users have already updated either using a Registry hack that was posted online or through running all the patches one by one in order. The update is tricky as you have to tinker with the registry settings, if you know what you are doing then only admit this otherwise stay away from it and wait for the Microsoft Windows Update to reach you in time.
Some users are reporting that the registry hack no longer works as Microsoft seemed to patch it, but worry not if you are really interested in getting the update early there are links posted online where you can download the files necessary. The links includes updates for 32-bit, 64-bit and Windows RT versions. So make sure you select the correct version for your PC, otherwise you could be inviting trouble.
