Xolo is all set to launch a 4G LTE enabled smartphone in the country if a report on GSMArena has to be believed. It is little surprising that 4G LTE smartphones are coming to the country but we have no real 4G coverage in India except a few cities.
Xolo LT900 is expected in the first week of November according to the report, the report also published a press render of the device in question. The press render bears the Xolo logo along with 4G on the back panel. LT900 will feature a 4.3-inch HD IPS OGS display with a pixel density of 341 ppi, 4.3-inch is small for phablet obsessed nation. It will be powered by a 1.5Ghz Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4 Processor.
It will have an 8-megapixel rear camera with BSI sensor, the press render shows dual LED flash. Other than these details we don’t know much about the device. If it really launches in the first week of November we might see more leaks in the next few days.
If Xolo launched the purported handset called LT900 in the country it becomes the first indigenous manufacturer to launch 4G smartphones. Airtel and Huawei launched first 4G LTE handset in the country last year, called Ascend P1. 4G coverage in India is very poor, Airtel has previously launched 4G services in few cities including Bangalore, Kolkata among others. It is expected to launch in other cities.
Recently Reliance Industries has got the Pan-India license for rolling out 4G services under the Jio brand. It will take some time for Reliance to roll out these services.
