Lava today announced the next Intel powered smartphone Xolo X1000 under it’s sub brand XOLO. It is the third smartphone in this series after Xolo X900 and Xolo X500. It uses the Intel Atom Z2480 processor recently seen in Motorola RAZR i. Xolo X1000 is priced at Rs. 19,999 and will ship in a week’s time from Flipkart.com.
Specifications & Features
Xolo X1000 is powered by a 2GHz Intel Atom processor coupled with PowerVR SGX540 GPU clocked at 400MHz. The Intel Atom processor Z2480 that powers this phone is a single core one based on the Medfield design with hyper-threading technology. and It comes with a 4.7 inch TFT LCD display at 1280x720p resolution at 312PPi. The display is 2.5D Edge-to-Edge curved single glass one.
Xolo X1000 runs on Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. This is surprising as Xolo is not using Android Jelly Bean to power this device, Jelly Bean is already seen in Xolo’s own smartphones Xolo A1000 and Q800. We have seen several smartphones launching with Jelly Bean on board recently and I don’t what excuse Lava will have for not having Jelly Bean on board in this smartphone. Obviously if some one os spending INR 20000 on a phone he wants to have the latest specs on the phone.
Other specifications include 8MP rear camera with BSI sensor with autofocus and single LED flash and a 1.3MP front-facing camera. On the memory front it comes with 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal memory expandable upto 32GB. Connectivity options include micro USB, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi , GPS. A 1900mAh battery powers this Intel Inside smartphone, rated at 9.5 hours of 2G or 3G talk time and upto 14 days of standby time.
