The Xperia V is one of the latest smartphones from Sony along with the Xperia T. The smartphone is probably the most up-to-date Sony smartphone at the moment as the Xperia Z has not been released yet. The Sony Walkman player is possibly the best music player available for the Android OS in terms of eye candy and features. Even thought the walkman player from Xperia S is brilliant, there are new features available on the walkman player from the Xperia V. Apart from improvements in the overall interface, the new walkman player adds lots of other features and sound enhancements. The Xperia V Walkman Player has now been ported to Android ICS devices along with the Album app and Movies App.
Basically, the port offers all the features available on the Xperia V. You can control music via the notification bar or the widget. The background colour also changes along with the change in album art. The visualizer is also available which looks beautiful while listening to music.
All the sound enhancements are also available including the new clear audio +, clear bass, clear phase and clear stereo. All the sound enhancements improve the audio quality significantly on Android devices. Also, the Xloud enhancement is also available, which improves audio quality through the phone’s speaker. You can also download music info and album art automatically using the walkman player. Facebook like is also available which lets you share your music on Facebook by liking it.
The Album and Movies apps are also working fine on most Android devices. Previously, Bravia Engine was the hottest feature in Sony Phones and now, Bravia Engine 2 is out. BE2 should also work on most Android devices when using the Sony Album and Movies app.
You need to have a rooted device in order to install the package, which is available here. Make sure that you create a nandroid backup before flashing the zip file in case something goes wrong.
